July
What a horrific weather hit Wales yesterday. A deluge of rain… http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-10706105
Lately
Been quiet on here lately which translates to being flat out. Took some nice black&white landscape over the Gower Peninsula over the weekend. Also been extending my stock library with product shots.
Assignments
I am currently seeking Photography assignments. If you have an event taking place, please get in touch!
Tip of the Day
A couple people I know have had this problem which seems to affect Microsoft Word & Excel v2003 SP3.
Problem: When you mailmerge a field into Word from Excel that contains a date, the date appears in Word in international or US format, eventhough it is correctly formatted to UK layout in Excel.
Solution: Complete the merge document in the normal way. Before running the merge goto the field that contains the date.
1. right click on the field name e.g. > – see pop-up menu.
2. click on the ‘Toggle Field Codes’ option – see field expand e.g. {
MERGEFIELD “Date” }
3. edit the field to include \@ “dd MMMM yy” e.g. { MERGEFIELD “Date” \@ “dd
MMMM yy” }
4. preview your mail merge – see date in the format 1 April 11.
Golf Charity Day
Why not support my good friends at Glyn Abbey Golf Club, who are raising money for the Welsh Air Ambulance Service.
St Johns Ambulance Brigade Duke of Endinburgh Awards
Met a fantastic group of young people today. All preparing themselves for the Duke of Edinburgh Awards. Seven mile hike and pitching camp overnight. Luckily had my camera with me to capture the event.
These young people dispel the modern myth that anyone under 25 wears a hoodie and produces a list of ASBOs for a CV.
Good for them, and good on the DoE.
Agored
This year I have met some really talented people who are juggling commitment and cashflow to produce student success. Quite how they manage it I don’t know – but they did!
